  • Overview

    This position is responsible for the planning, design and construction phases of water and wastewater projects in north Texas. In addition, this position is the technical lead for multi-disciplinary teams to undertake water and wastewater treatment and conveyance projects.

    Responsibilities

    • Direct and manage the implementation of the project including coordination with project stakeholders, consultants, contractors and other external and internal parties to achieve project milestones.
    • Prepare technical memoranda, planning studies and final design calculations, plans and specifications.  Manage project deliverable, budgets, schedules. Ensure compliance with the company’s Quality Assurance policies and procedures. 
    • Oversee and manage construction phases of projects to ensure works are completed in accordance with the contract documents, on time and budget.  Project manager has the responsibility of the project work to be completed in accordance with corporate health and safety policies and quality management systems. 
    • Assist with the preparation of proposals and qualification documents in the interest of obtaining new projects or programs.
    • Maintain client relationships; assist in identification and pursuit of business development opportunities and assist in executing our business goals.
    • Assist in local and regional pursuits including technical approach, and prepositioning activities.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor of Science degree in civil, environmental, or agricultural engineering from an ABET accredited college or university
    • Minimum 12+ years of experience relevant to municipal or private sector water / wastewater, preferred as project manager
    • Professional Engineer in Texas
    • Demonstrated ability to manage projects and deliver on time and within budget
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills
    • Knowledge of local codes, development processes, and utility regulations

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s Degree and Professional Engineer in Texas
    • Experience managing water and/or wastewater pumping, treatment and conveyance projects
    • Experience with north Texas-area clients is highly preferred
    • Experience working with clients in both the public and private sectors
    • Certified PMP is a plus
