Overview

This position is responsible for providing design support to engineers for site/commercial and residential land development projects. 

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and/or revise construction and planning documents as well as exhibits within company standards from redlines for a variety of projects
  • Utilize basic AutoCAD functions in daily work
  • Understand and learn entry-level Civil 3D functions and complete construction documents
  • Ability to follow and implement Pape-Dawson QA/QC and agency checklists into construction documents
  • Coordinate and communicate with project team in engineering, production, design and management to meet overall project objectives and deadlines
  • Understand and use established company standards for drafting
  • Analyze sketches, notes and other input material to determine and plan the best approach to develop and complete drawings
  • Inform Project Manager(s) of progress on assigned projects and request work when needed
  • Maintain organized work area to allow access of project information by other team members
  • Flexible in work assignments and team assignments

Qualifications

  • Associates Degree in Computer-Aided Design / Associates degree in technology with a civil specialization, is preferred yet not required
  • Working knowledge in AutoCAD, preferably with Civil 3D- 2019 or current version 
  • Detail oriented with high level of accuracy
  • Effective communications and interpersonal skills; ability to develop and maintain professional relationships
  • Must be flexible to changes in work assignments on short notice and/or on a daily basis as changes occur in project needs
  • Must be able to work Monday through Friday 8 am to 5 pm, with occasional overtime
