Overview

The Landscape Designer II is responsible for providing technical support in the planning, design, and implementation of landscape architecture projects.

Responsibilities

  • Understand project requirements by reviewing agencies' guidelines and client specifications.
  • Assist with preparation and review of project layouts, planting and irrigation plans, and complete plan sets.
  • Review construction documents and cost estimates to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Coordinate closely with field staff and contractors to resolve construction issues.
  • Assist with the preparation and coordination of bond issues and inspections with reviewing agencies.
  • Support team in project execution and technical skills development.
  • Monitor project schedules to ensure timely delivery.
  • Collaborate with Project Managers to support client needs, ensuring technical excellence and client satisfaction.
  • Perform other duties as assigned. #LI-JR1

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in landscape architecture or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in landscape design.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and other relevant design software.
  • Understanding of construction techniques, plant materials, and sustainable design principles.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams, clients, and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work Monday – Friday, 8am – 5pm with occasional overtime as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in landscape architecture or related field.
  • Professional licensure (PLA) or eligibility to pursue licensure.
