Overview

The Senior Platting Coordinator will play a crucial role in facilitating the execution of platting projects throughout the entire plat submittal and approval process, ensuring compliance with regulations, and driving successful outcomes for land development initiatives in the Greater Houston area.

Responsibilities

  • Performs work involving application, submission, coordination, and completion of subdivision plats and planned development approvals.
  • Exercises judgement in the independent review of subdivision plats, site plats, and land plans.
  • Ensures finished products comply with applicable rules and regulations.
  • Prepares formal variance requests from rules and regulations of municipalities.
  • Provides guidance to platting technicians in completing tasks in an efficient and accurate manner.
  • Prepares Joint Referral Committee Applications.
  • Coordinates with the City of Houston regarding the abandonment process.
  • Prepares utility capacity reservation letters and coordinates with City of Houston staff.

Qualifications

  • 5 years’ experience in subdivision platting.
  • High school diploma or GED certificate.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Thorough knowledge of platting/planning in the Greater Houston area.
  • Capable of handling all aspects related to preliminary and final plat submittals and plat recordation.
  • Experience in dealing with multiple cities and counties in the Greater Houston area.
  • Ability to work Monday through Friday, 8am – 5pm with occasional overtime as needed.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD
