Overview

The Field Coordinator is responsible for management oversight of a construction project and it's organization, scheduling, budgeting, and implementation for Land Develepment clients.  

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Survey Manager with planning, scheduling, and coordinating field crew assignments to meet deadlines
  • Completes detailed drawings from field survey data, sketches, plans, specifications, and written or verbal instructions using AutoCAD Civil 3D
  • Reviews work for completeness and accuracy prior to submitting to RPLS for review
  • Prepares drawings and/or copies existing drawings and completes simple calculations with specific instructions
  • Conducts field work upon request
  • Assist with deed research and abstract deeds, create base maps for field crews, process field crew data, and produce final drawings
  • Processes acquired field data into a neat and accurate plat of survey and/or Metes and Bounds description

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in a land surveying role
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D
  • Working knowledge of MicroStation a plus
  • Ability to analyze survey data and direct field crew as needed
  • Ability to develop and maintain professional relationships
  • Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently
  • Effective time management and organizational skills
  • Flexibility to change priorities on job tasks and/or project deadlines, as needed
  • Ability to handle basic issues and problems identify when more complex issues need to be referred to higher level staff
  • Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of employees in the organization, both verbally and written.
  • Must be dependable and reliable
