Overview

The Survey Project Manager will play a pivotal role in overseeing survey operations, ensuring regulatory compliance, managing project budgets, and maintaining the quality of survey deliverables. This position demands exceptional leadership, problem-solving abilities, and communication skills to drive project success and foster a collaborative team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Plans, directs, and coordinates work of the local survey department
  • Provides guidance/direction to Survey Technicians and Field Crews
  • Ensures compliance with TBPELS rules and regulations
  • Prepares proposals
  • Manages project budgets and client invoicing
  • Responsible for quality control of drawings and legal descriptions prepared by others
  • Adheres to corporate QA/QC guidelines and principles
  • Manages, trains, and mentors other members of the Survey Department

Qualifications

  • Registered in the state of Texas as a Professional Land Surveyor (RPLS)
  • Ability to prioritize and make decisions independently in a fast-paced production environment
  • Ability to develop and maintain professional relationships
  • Ability to handle complex issues/problems
  • Ability to manage performance of Survey team members and handle personnel issues as appropriate or needed.
  • Ability to work in and lead a team
  • Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of employees in the organization, both verbally and written.
  • Must be dependable and reliable
