Overview

The Project Manager works under the Program Manager and is responsible for assisting/leading organizational initiatives, scheduling, project controls, and budgeting to execute Water/Wastewater infrastructure projects for public, private, and municipal utility district clients.  This position will be actively involved in partnerships within the communities we serve.

Responsibilities

  • Provide project management oversight throughout the feasibility, design and construction phase of the project including planning, permitting, budget, schedule, risk, and stakeholder management to execute the client’s project goals and objectives.
  • Manage workflows, project controls, and overall governance of the project.
  • Serve as the liaison between engineers, contractors, testing agencies, subcontractors, and the client.
  • Communicate in private and public environments to include briefings, town halls, reports, and daily correspondence.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited college or university.
  • 6 years of project management experience with a design or construction firm; or, demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
  • Proven ability to direct personnel as well as coordinate and schedule work within a project team.
  • Must be able to work 8 am to 5 pm, Monday through Friday with the majority of time working in an office setting.
  • Travel may be required including working in remote locations for periods of time.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) designation in the State of Texas or successfully obtain within 12 months
  • Certified Project Management Professional, Program Management Professional
  • Certified Construction Manager Certificate (CCM) through CMAA
  • Experience as an owner’s representative
  • Previous experience executing public works projects
  • Experience leading, coaching, and mentoring project team members
