Overview

The Human Resources Analyst role focuses on supporting HR functions with advanced reporting and analytics, compensation structure evaluation, and contributing to job description development and career pathing initiatives.  The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in Workday and will collaborate across departments to deliver meaningful insights and recommendations that drive business decisions.

Responsibilities

Reporting and Analytics:

  • Develop and automate scheduled reports for key HR metrics such as headcount, turnover, compensation, and workforce trends.
  • Analyze workforce data to identify trends and provide actionable recommendations to HR and business leaders.
  • Build and manage dashboards and analytics to provide actionable insights for HR and leadership teams, ensuring real-time and accurate data for effective decision making.
  • Develop calculated fields and logic to meet complex reporting requirements.
  • Ensure data integrity within the Workday system by conducting regular audits and validations.
  • Create ad hoc reports to address specific business needs and questions.

Compensation Analysis:

  • Assist in developing, maintaining, and benchmarking compensation structures to ensure internal equity and market competitiveness.
  • Conduct job evaluations, salary surveys, and market analyses to support recommendations on salary adjustments and merit increases.
  • Support annual compensation processes such as merit increases, bonuses, and promotions.
  • Prepare detailed compensation-related reports and present findings to HR leadership and management teams.

Job Description and Career Pathing Development: 

  • Develop, review, update, and maintain job descriptions to ensure accuracy and alignment with organizational needs and best practices.
  • Conduct job analyses and evaluations to ensure internal alignment, appropriate job leveling, and consistency across roles.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date job profiles and descriptions within Workday.
  • Collaborate with HR and leadership teams to design and implement career path frameworks that support employee growth and succession planning.
  • Analyze organizational structure and workforce data to identify and address gaps in career progression opportunities.
  • Create tools and resources, such as career ladders or matrices, to guide employees in understanding potential growth opportunities.

Workday System Support:

  • Assist in maintaining and updating key aspects of the Workday system, ensuring modifications align with evolving business requirements.
  • Support configuration and ongoing maintenance for one or more Workday modules, including HCM, Compensation, Recruiting, and Talent.
  • Assist with Workday report writing by creating and maintaining custom and standard reports to meet organizational needs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in HR analytics, compensation, or a related field.
  • Expertise in Workday, with a strong focus on HCM, Advanced Compensation, and reporting and analytics, is required.
  • Workday Business Process Administrator knowledge is preferred.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel (e.g., pivot tables, v-lookups, complex formulas) is highly preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to present findings clearly to various audiences
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality work within deadlines.
  • Strong understanding of compensation practices and principles.
  • Ability to work 8am to 5pm, Monday through Friday with occasional overtime, as needed.
